Hard to Find Kids Character Watches

Sometimes kids fall in love with a particular character from an older movie, such as Lion King or Mary Poppins. It can be difficult to find items available with these characters featured since the movie is no longer a new release.

If the movie is a Disney movie, Disney does release many cast watches to their staff members. These watches can sometimes be found on eBay and other stores that specialize in used watches. Pricing varies based on how limited the edition of the watch was and how many are currently available as well as how much of a demand there is for the watch currently.

Some other places to find these watches include estate sales, auctions, and local thrift and secondhand stores. Ask those you know to keep an eye out of a watch featuring a particular character and to let you know if they find one. You can sometimes pick up just the watch you are looking for at a very low cost. Be cautious though, as the repairs can sometimes run more than purchasing the watch itself. In fact, be cautious about how much you spend as the repairs may run you as much as $30 or $40.

Kids' Sizes

Although you may be able to find kids' character watches with just the right character and features, you also may have to settle for an adult watch. If you do so, be careful of the size and make sure the watch's band adjusts to a size that will fit the child or that the band can be replaced inexpensively with one that will work better for the wearer. You may also want to pay attention to the size of the watch's dial. A huge dial may not sit comfortably or correctly on a child's small wrist.

Whichever character your child loves, the look of surprise and happiness on his face when he opens the box containing a watch with that character will be worth the time and effort involved in finding the perfect timepiece.
