Invicta Company Background

Invicta has been in the watch business ever since it opened its doors in 1837 with the objective of supplying reasonably priced watches made with legendary Swiss watchmaking skills, making ownership of a fine Swiss watch accessible to a bigger portion of the population. The company was founded by one Raphael Picard and remained a family run firm for well over a century. The company thrived for many years, but suffered during the 1970s, when the advent of quartz watches caused consumers to abandon fine Swiss watches in favor of convenient quartz. Fortunately the company was revived in the 1990s after it was purchased by an American firm. Invicta's new leaders turned once again to the firm's original focus of supplying superior watches at bargain prices. In 2000 the company launched its line of Lupah chronograph watches, which were a huge success and are still highly desired by watch lovers. Invicta continues to turn out timepieces at modest prices for the [[Designer Watches|industry], but has added higher end watches such as the Ocean Ghost.

Invicta Innovations

Invicta's watch designers delight the public with the unique materials used in their creations, including a dial made from a meteorite and the first watch made of both platinum and 18K gold. It'll be interesting to see what they come out with next!

Chronograph Watches

What makes a chronograph watch different from other watches? In addition to showing the time, chronograph watches have the ability to measure shorter periods of time, like a stopwatch. Both digital and analog watches can be chronograph watches, and analog watches usually have one or more small dials in addition to the main one for the stopwatch function.
