Bulova Watches
Bulova watches began in 1875 with an immigrant setting up a jewelry store in New York City, Joseph Bulova. His commitment to quality and affordability led the company to expand into the large company it is today. In addition to its strong history, Bulova is also the purveyor of a number of innovations in the watch world, most notably the use of tuning forks to keep accurate time. All models of Bulova watches are intricately constructed with even the smallest details taken into consideration.

Popular Models

Bulova has a number of watch collections that vary greatly in price. All feature the same famous Bulova quality construction and sophisticated beauty.

Bulova's Accutron watches are the premiere brand produced by Bulova. Although the company itself is based in North America, Accutron watches are produced in Switzerland using high-quality parts and movements. There are many sub-collections within the Accutron models. Accutron watches range from $295 - $1,095 in price.

Bulova's lower-priced line of watches are also the most fashionable. Priced between $45 and $125, Caravelle watches have the most contemporary styling of any Bulova watch collection.

  • Bulova Harley-Davidson Watches

Styled after the famous North American motorcycle company, Bulova's Harley-Davidson watches are ideal for bikers. Featuring tough, stylish construction and easy to read dials, these watches go well with leather jackets and business suits alike.

  • Frank Lloyd Wright Watch Collection

The famous architect lent his style to a set of Bulova watches. These attention-drawing timepieces are a conversation piece on anyone's wrist.

Why Bulova watches are special

Bulova watches are known for a number of innovations. In addition to being the first full line of men and women's wristwatches in North America, Bulova is also credited with a number of horological advances. One of their most famous innovations is the use of resonating tuning forks in the Accutron line. The forks regulate the time and produce a remarkably accurate timepiece.

More Information

In 1875 a 23 year old immigrant from Bohemia, Joseph Bulova, stepped onto North American soil. He opened a small jewelry store in New York City to make a living. Little did he know the company would grow into one of the world's most successful watch and jewelry companies only a few decades later.

It wasn't until 1911 that Bulova began designing and selling pocket watches and clocks. Because of the high quality and strong construction, Joseph Bulova found he sold a number of these watches in a short period of time. When wrist watches became popular after World War I, Bulova already had the production facilities available and was a master of jewelry design. He introduced the first full line of men's jeweled wristwatches in 1919. Soon afterwards, Bulova released a line of women's watches to match. The Bulova company grew enormously and was well-known across the United States for fine watches.
