Casio Background
The company had its beginnings in Japan back in 1946 as Kashio Seisakujo, named for its founder, Kashio Tadao. The company started out by making parts for microscopes. Tadao's younger brother Toshio came to work for the company and turned his attention to creating new, innovative products for the company to make and sell. The brothers focused on calculators, since at that time the calculators in Japan were entirely mechanical, with no electronic parts. After working for several years, they were able to devise a revolutionary calculator that set the stage for the rise of compact electronic calculators. Over the following decades Casio's calculator business continued to grow, and the company eventually decided to branch into other areas, including cash registers, electric musical keyboards, televisions, word processors and, of course, watches. In 1974 Casio came out with its first computerized watch, the Casiotron, which not only kept time but could keep track of the days in the month and tell if it was a leap year.
Types of Casio Watches for Women
G-Shock
In 1983 Casio released the first G-Shock watch. At a time when thin, delicate watches were the fashion, the G-Shock was a tough, rugged looking watch. The company marketed the watch as being able to withstand a fall from the top of a building and still operate perfectly. The G-Shock was ahead of its time, and though it did not take off immediately, within a decade the style skyrocketed to popularity. Today the G-Shock has become Casio's most recognizable watch.
Baby G
Baby G watches are tough, shock resistant watches with a feminine look and options like pink watchbands and tanning timers.
Waveceptor
The attractive Waveceptor watch is another Casio favorite. For the most precise timepieces, look for Waveceptor watches with Atomic timekeeping, which automatically adjusts the watch to keep it accurate.
Pathfinder
For ladies on the move, Pathfinder Casio watches for women are ideal. These watches are available with options like altitude memory, barometers, compasses, thermometers and more.
Databank

Dress
Sophisticated styling and details make Casio's dress watches ideal for a night out on the town or for dress to impress situations at work.
